INTOSAI Audit

From 12 to 16 March 2012 INTOSAIs annual report for the year 2011 was audited at the INTOSAI General Secretariat in Vienna, Austria.

Auditors from the SAIs of Malaysia and Oman submitted their audit report with unqualified opinion to the General Secretariat for inclusion in the annual report which will be submitted to the Governing Board by the end of April 2012.


 

INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation - Development partners increase support for SAIs

4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, South Korea

INTOSAI Chairman Terence Nombembe led the INTOSAI delegation at an event to agree a new global partnership for effective development cooperation, 29 November to 1 December. Mr. Nombembe addressed participants on the importance of strong, independent SAIs for sustainable national development and effective use of public resources, and spoke of the relevance of global partnerships, such as INTOSAI, for development cooperation. .... more >>


 

62nd INTOSAI Governing Board meeting in Vienna

The 62nd meeting of the INTOSAI Governing Board was held in the premises of the Austrian Parliament in Vienna from 27 to 28 October 2011.

In addition to the members of the Governing Board, the meeting was attended by rapporteurs of the INTOSAI Committees, Subcommittees, Working Groups, Project Groups and Task Forces as well as representatives of the General Secretariats of all seven Regional Working Groups, involving altogether more that 70 participants from 29 INTOSAI member countries. .... more >>

Islamic Development Bank signs INTOSAI-Donor MoU
At a ceremony in Washington, DC, on September 22, 2011 the President of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between INTOSAI and the donor community. The Comptroller General of the United States, Mr. Gene Dodaro, World Bank Vice-President, Mr. Joachim von Amsberg, and the co-Chair of the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation, Mr. Anthony Hegarty, were among the guests at the ceremony. The Islamic Development Bank Group is now the sixteenth development partner organization to join the MoU after its original signing by other fifteen donors in October 2009.

Secretary General Moser visits China for pre-INCOSAI consultations 

INTOSAI Secretary General Dr. Josef Moser visited the SAI of China to discuss the preparations for the INCOSAI in 2013.  On 8 September 2011 the Secretary General met with senior representatives of the Chinese SAI to deliberate the various processes towards the Congress.

 

On the following day, the Secretary General moreover delivered a lecture at Nanjing Audit University of China. The University, a prestigious institution of higher education in accounting and auditing, also serves as training institution for auditors of the SAI of China. About 22,000 students are enrolled at present. In his lecture, Mr. Moser talked about current challenges for public auditing and the latest developments in INTOSAI, especially regarding the independence of SAIs. As a special honour, the Secretary General was conferred the title of Honorary Professor by Nanjing Audit University President Wang Jiaxin.

 
 
 

INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation – Global Call for Proposals for SAI Capacity Development
