The task of the Working Group is to develop and enhance program evaluation capacity in order to provide interested SAIs with information, methodological approaches and practical recommendations to facilitate the evaluation of programs.

The following objectives have been identified:

• Develop a working definition of program evaluation;
  
  
• Study the possibility of establishing guidelines and criteria that would facilitate the successful conduct of program evaluations;
  
  
• Collect and disseminate information to promote the exchange of knowledge;
  
  
• Identify the skills and resources needed to conduct program evaluations.
