Chaired by the SAI of Hungary, the INTOSAI Governing Board consists of 18 member SAIs.

INTOSAI was founded in 1953. Set up as a permanent institution, it is an autonomous, independent and non-political organisation for the promotion of an exchange of ideas and experiences between Supreme Audit Institions in the field of government audit.
