IDI visit to the INTOSAI General Secretariat

On 5 May 2022, thanks to the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions, a working meeting between the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and the INTOSAI General Secretariat was held in person in the premises of the Austrian Court of Audit (ACA). On this occasion, Director General Einar Gørrissen and Senior Manager Petra Schirnhofer deliberated with Ronald Roedl, Head of the ACA’s Management and Administration Division and Authorized Representative of the INTOSAI Secretary General, and Silke Steiner, Head of the ACA’s Department for International Affairs and Director of the INTOSAI General Secretariat, current issues on topics relevant to INTOSAI. These covered areas such as the organization of the upcoming INCOSAI in Brazil, promoting SAI independence in the framework of the United Nations and issues related to the changing framework conditions of SAIs in light of geopolitical developments.

Furthermore, Einar Gørrissen and Petra Schirnhofer seized the occasion to present to the ACA’s staff members the results of the „IDI Global SAI Stocktaking Report“. In the course of this event, matters such as peer-to-peer support by SAIs and the cooperation with the donor community attracted particularly strong interest.
